Indigenous Day Celebration: tipi raising & potluck feast
June 21 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join us for teachings, teamwork and time on the land, as we put up our tipi.
Please bring a dish of food to share in a potluck feast.
All ages welcome. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or caregiver.
Accessibility:
The tipi raising portion of this event will take place outside. The ground is mostly grass covered and may be uneven. After a rain, the ground may be soft and muddy.
Shelter from the weather is available under our open-side pavilion, on a concrete pad.
Limited outdoor seating is available. Participants are welcome to bring their own chairs or blankets for sitting on the ground.
Presenters will not have their voices amplified.
Indoor washrooms are available.
Parking is available on site, a short distance from where we will be gathering. Please leave priority spots for those who require accessible parking and/or loading and unloading.
