Become Part of the Roots and Branches of the Tree of Life
Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre (SSSC) is seeking volunteers from across Canada to serve on our committees.
At SSSC, our committees are more than governance structures. They are the roots and branches of our Tree of Life. They bring together people who are passionate about Indigenous ministry, land-based learning, community building, education, hospitality, stewardship, and right relationships.
We are looking for individuals who are willing to share their gifts, knowledge, lived experience, and wisdom to help guide the future of SSSC.
Current Opportunities Include:
• Finance Committee – supporting responsible stewardship and long-term sustainability
• Hospitality & Quality Improvement Committee – helping create safe, welcoming, and high-quality experiences for guests
• Personnel Committee – supporting healthy workplace practices and staff well-being
Committee members generally meet virtually between 4–6 times per year, and may participate in small working groups between meetings.
How to Apply:
We welcome applications from:
- Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples
- Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community leaders
- Graduates and friends of SSSC
- People with experience in finance, governance, hospitality, human resources, ministry, cultural revitalization, education, communications, and community development
