Community Sweat Lodge

Sweat lodges at Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre are a time to be on the land, to honour and give thanks for all of creation, to have some quiet reflective time around the fire and to renew and refresh our mind, body and spirit.
The sweat lodge will be followed by a potluck feast. Read more about what to expect at our ceremonies.
To enter the sweat lodge, you must register in advance by completing the form below.
You may also participate without entering the sweat lodge. Everyone is welcome to come and be with the sacred fire.
What to bring:
- Tobacco
- For the sweat lodge: shorts (men) or cotton nightgown or skirt/top (women) & towel
- For outside the sweat lodge: any hat, jacket, rain gear, sun or bug protection you need to be comfortable and safe outside, depending on the weather of the day
- Water bottle
- Finger food – to share in the potluck feast after the sweat
- Donation for the Centre encouraged (cash or cheque made to Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre, donating online available when you register)
- Gift for the lodge keeper encouraged (cash or any item that expresses your gratitude for the ceremony)
