SUMMARY:PC4 2SLGBTQIA+ & Healthy Relationships Learning Circle & Continuing Education Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:We welcome guest learners to join our ministry students in the circle. To register\, download the registration form below and return completed form to connect@sandysaulteaux.ca. \nThis course seeks to provide students with trauma informed understandings\, tools and resources to support families or individuals seeking healing from violent relationships or internalized oppression. Special attention will be given to the epidemic of gender-based violence against women and girls\, as well as against 2SLGBTQIA+ persons. Students will explore these realities within the life of the church\, as well as family and community systems more broadly. They will examine the ways scriptural passages and Christian teachings have often been used to promote or silently enable abusive behaviors that violate the dignity and respect of all people. Theologically\, we will examine sexuality as a call to community flourishing. Collectively\, we will continue to employ an appreciative inquiry lens to reflect on what community flourishing looks like in light of the power dynamics surrounding gendered violence in our communities. \n\nRegistration Form

DESCRIPTION:Seasonal ceremonies at Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre are a time to be on the land\, to honour and give thanks for all of creation\, to have some quiet reflective time around the fire and to renew and refresh our mind\, body and spirit in the sweat lodge. \nThe ceremonies include a sweat lodge\, followed by a potluck feast. Read more about what to expect at our seasonal ceremonies. \n  \nTo enter the sweat lodge\, you must register in advance by completing the form below. \nYou may also participate without entering the sweat lodge.
