SUMMARY:Engage Difference! Deepening Understanding for Intercultural Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Deepening Understanding for Intercultural Ministry (DUIM) is a 5 day interactive and engaging program with practical ideas for implementation in your own context. DUIM is for ministry leaders nurturing cultural relevance\, understanding\, and awareness in their communities. Registration is open to anyone who is interested\, or through Canadian Churches Forum partners. \n \n“…it was one of the best learning events I have attended in that it allowed me enough time to consider how I might apply learnings to my context. I developed ideas well enough so that I could actually articulate these ideas to colleagues on my return to work. So often workshops tend to be heavy on content without enough time for application. Your program achieved its aim\, ‘Deepening Understanding for Intercultural Ministry’”. \nRegistration deadline April 10\, 2017\n \nLearn more and register at http://www.ccforum.ca/DUIM

SUMMARY:Daniel and Revelation: Dreams & Visions - Learning Circle & Continuing Education Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:Through an exegetical examination of the apocalyptic literature of Daniel and Revelation\, this course examines the ways the dreams and visions found in Daniel and Revelation were understood during the time they were written as a hope for the immediate future. It draws connections to the ways apocalyptic literature can still speak to our time\, but not in the manner that they operate as predictions of the long-term future. Rather\, the course helps students make connections to the dreams and visions of their own time\, and the Christian story as an unveiling of empire and its tools of oppression today. \nDownload the registration form.
