DESCRIPTION:Gather with Indigenous and non-Indigenous allies to reclaim the homegrown\, the homespoken\, the homebred\, and the homemade:\n\n\nSoapstone carving with Frederick Spence\nBullrush basket making with Laura Reeves\nBeading with Roberta Sinclair-Kemash\nPlant-based Lotions and Salves\nSweatlodge teachings\nSweatlodge Ceremony\nLeathercraft (tentative)\nGardening and Composting\nSharing Circle time each morning\nDrum Songs every evening\nEvening Campfire time to rest and relax\nMovie night outside in the pavilion (weather permitting)\nHarvesting and dehydrating garden herbs\nHerbal & Medicinal Teas\n\n\nCome root yourself in an understanding of the land as our health. Share in the spiritual teaching\, laughter\, and new learning. And most importantly\, taste the beauty of friendships formed through nurturing one another as the earth nurtures us. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPROGRAM\nREGISTRATION\nCOST\nTRANSPORTATION & ACCOMMODATION\nCONTACT\n \n\n  \n  \n  \n  \nPROGRAM \nWe will gather every morning for a sharing circle around the fire. \nParticipants will be able to move between hands-on activity stations throughout the day as they wish. Participation in some of the activities will be limited. \nSchedule coming soon! \nWe will share meals together three times a day. An evening fire will follow the dinner-hour for resting\, relaxing and sharing stories. \nParticipants are invited to contribute to the week by helping in the garden\, leading music\, sharing your experience with different Do-It-Yourself or traditional skills\, teaching a game or physical exercise\, and/or telling a story around the fire. \nReturn to top. \n  \n\n\n  \n  \n\n  \n  \n  \n  \nREGISTRATION\n \n  \n\n\nAll ages are welcome. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent\, guardian or caregiver. \nSpace is limited. \n  \n\nTo register\, download the registration form below and return completed form to connect@sandysaulteaux.ca. \n\nREGISTRATION FORM\n\n  \n\n\n  \nReturn to top. \n  \n  \n\n  \n  \n  \n  \nCOST \nRegistration and accommodation fees help us prepare for an incredible week of hands-on learning\, acquire the supplies and good food for enjoying together\, cover travel for elders and teachers and recognize the time and contributions of the hosts and organizers. If these fees would prevent you from attending\, we encourage you to reach out to your band\, church or agency to ask for their support. You can also contact us as limited funds may be available to help cover registration costs with a priority for youth and Indigenous participants. \n$630 per person – NO accommodation\, event and lunch and suppers only \n$780 per person – camping accommodation\, event and all meals OR \n$980 per person – cabin accommodation\, event and all meals   \nChildren under 10 can register for half price. \nReturn to top. \n\n\n  \n  \n\n  \n  \n  \n  \nTRANSPORTATION & ACCOMMODATIONS \nParticipants are responsible for their own transportation to the Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre. \nIf you are interested in carpooling we’ll do our best to connect you with other participants traveling from the same place. \n  \nParticipants have 3 options for accommodations: \n1) Stay in a guest cabin at the Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre. \n2) Bring your own tent or camper to camp at Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre.
